The former President has elected to maintain the name “Ron DeSanctimonious” for the 2024 GOP hopeful, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
President Trump’s history of using unflattering names extends to the 2016 campaign, when he commonly referred to Hillary Clinton as “crooked,” implying issues of corruption.

The savvy politician may be looking at a potential rematch with President Joe Biden, who won the 2020 presidential elections amid charges of vote tampering. Notably, Trump continues to contest the results of the 2020 election.
Given Trump’s consistent efforts to highlight the apparent shortcomings of his adversaries through these nicknames, it remains to be seen how this new approach will resonate with voters.
Trump, however, does not lack confidence and despite facing multiple indictments (and another likely this month), he continues to press forward full speed ahead.
